Inion® OTPSTM Mesh IndicationsThe Inion OTPSTM Orthopaedic Mesh System comprises biodegradable meshes and fixation screws, indicated for use in joint reconstruction, such as rebuilding of the socket in the hip joint, and repair of the iliac crest in the pelvis after bone graft harvest. In combination with rigid fixation, the meshes are also indicated for the treatment of comminuted fractures.
Only when used in conjunction with traditional rigid fixation, the Inion OTPSTM Mesh Plating System is intended to sustain the relative position of weak bony tissue in trauma and reconstructive orthopaedic procedures insolving the following: - long bones - flat bones - short bones - irregular bones - appendicular skeleton - thorax
When used alone (without traditional rigid fixation), the Inion OTPSTM Mesh Plating System is intended to maintain the relative position of bone grafts or bone graft substitutes in reconstructive orthopaedic procedures including the following: - tumor reconstructions where bone strength had not been compromised - iliac crest harvest
