Inion® OTPSTM Mesh Material Advantage

Material advantage

Inion OPTIMATM polymer blend provides excellent intra-operative handling and post-operative stability.

Easier to mold than metallic mesh plates and competing biodegrdables

These polymers degrade in vivo by hydrolysis and are metabolised by the body into carbon dioxide and water.

The Inion OTPSTM Mesh maintains most of its strength for up to 18-36 weeks and biodegrades thereafter.

Benefits

  • Easily contourable

  • Non-metallic implants = No imaging interference.
The polymers from which Inion OTPSTM products are made do not interfere with any imaging techniques e.g. X-ray. MRI, Ultrasound

  • Products are biodegradable = Reduced long-term infection risk.
As Inion OTPSTM implants degrade completely, no material remains in-situ to become infected by blood borne bacteria.

  • Products supplied sterile = reduced potential cross-infection risk
Inion OTPSTM implants are supplied sterile in sterile pouches, thereby eliminating any sterilization requirement with a consequent reduced cross-infection potential.
