Senior Leadership Team

Inion is managed by a Senior Leadership Team (SLT). The members of the SLT are:

Mr. Chris Lee, CEO

Chief Executive Officer

Mr Lee was appointed CEO and director in May 2007. He joined Inion as Chief Commercial Officer at the start of January 2007 from ETHICON Products, a major subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson, where he was President, Europe Middle East & Africa. Mr Lee has significant commercial experience in the medical devices sector. For the majority of his more than 22 years’ business experience in the sector, he has worked at Johnson & Johnson where, during the last six years, he has had P&L responsibility for three businesses with multi-million dollar sales. Mr Lee was President, Europe, Middle East & Africa for ETHICON Products, a market-leading wound closure business and also Chairman of the Medical Devices and Diagnostics Group in the UK. Prior to this, he was Worldwide Vice President of DePuy Trauma, Extremities and Biologics. Before that, he was Managing Director of ETHICON Endo-Surgery UK, where he was a statutory Director and head of the legal entity from 2001-2003. Mr Lee is member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. He received an MBA from Cranfield University in 1997.


Mr. Julien Cotta, CFO

Chief Financial Officer

Mr Cotta (44) joined Inion as CFO and Director in May 2006, and has 16 years’ financial experience from companies within the pharmaceutical and life sciences sector. He joined Inion from Whatman Plc, a FTSE 250-listed UK company, at which he held the position of group financial controller since 2004, managing a large financial team and reporting to the CFO. Before this, Mr Cotta was vice president financial accounting at Chiron UK, following its takeover of PowderJect Pharmaceuticals plc, which he joined as group financial controller in 1999. Mr Cotta qualified as a Chartered Accountant from Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) in 1992.

Mr. David Follows, CCO

Chief Commercial Officer

Mr. Follows joined Inion in July 2007 bringing more than 27 years' commercial experience to the business.  For the past 20 years he  worked in the medical devices industry with ETHICON and ETHICON Endo-Surgery, major subsidiaries of Johnson & Johnson.  During his career, he held positions of increasing responsibility within sales and marketing operations and prior to joining Inion was Managing Director of ETHICON Endo-Surgery UK, where he devised and implemented commercial strategies that have led to a doubling of sales to £70m over the past five years.

Mrs. Carolyn Harvey

Sales Director, OUS

Carolyn Harvey joined Inion in January 2002 to establish the direct sales operation in UK and head the CMF division as Strategic Marketing Manager. She was appointed Sales Director in May 2007 to lead sales growth OUS. Carolyn has significant expertise in the sales and marketing of medical devices, with more than 20 years specialising in implants for facial, dental and orthopaedic surgery. Prior to joining Inion she had experience in successfully developing and selling new surgical concepts having worked as Product Manager for Downs Surgical (now owned by Aesculap), Director of Proplast (UK) and latterly Manager of Albert Waeschle, distributors for companies including KLS Martin & Sulzer Calcitek (now Zimmer Dental).
