Inion’s surgical training event brought orthopedic surgeons together in Tampere

On October 2nd, 2025, Inion hosted a surgical training event for orthopedic surgeons at the Tampere Surgical Education Centre (TSEC) in Finland. This international training event brought together orthopedic surgeons for hands-on education in an operating theatre environment.

Warmest thanks to all participants, teaching surgeons, and staff who made the event a success

We were honoured to see active engagement from the attendees, many of whom were working with bioabsorbable implants for the first time. Under the expert guidance of Dr. Helka Koivu and Dr. Petri Sillanpää, the participants gained valuable hands-on experience in using Inion’s bioabsorbable implants in different orthopedic procedures.

The training focused on the fixation of orthopaedic fractures and osteotomies in the foot, ankle, and knee, using bioabsorbable Inion FreedomPins, Inion FreedomScrews and Inion CompressOn headless screws. This practical programme provided surgeons with the opportunity to refine their skills, explore anatomical approaches, and discuss clinical applications of bioabsorbable implant technology.

We extend our sincere thanks to the teaching surgeons, all participants, Inion team and the professional staff at TSEC for their contributions in making this educational event possible!
