Inion BioRestore™ products are synthetic, bioactive, and fully absorbable bone graft substitutes designed to support and stimulate natural bone healing. Composed of porous bioactive glass fibers, they combine osteoconductive and osteostimulative properties to promote new bone formation efficiently and safely.
Inion BioRestore™ products are available in morsel form and as shaped blocks. Inion BioRestore™ Plus implants are intended for the gentle filling and restoration of bony voids or defects in extremities, either resulting from trauma or created surgically. They are supplied in a block-shaped configuration with enhanced density, offering improved handling and shaping properties for surgical precision.
Key features and benefits of Inion BioRestore™ Plus products
- Complete degradation: Inion BioRestore™ is gradually resorbed and replaced by new bone within 6 months in vivo.
- Osteoconductive and osteostimulative: Inion BioRestore™ actively stimulates osteoblast proliferation and differentiation while providing a scaffold to support new bone formation.
- Antibacterial: Laboratory tests have shown that the bioactive glasses have antibacterial properties which may inhibit the occurrence of bacterial infection at the surgical site.
- Biocompatible, safe and easy to use: Synthetic origin shortens operative time in comparison to harvesting autogenous bone graft, excludes risks of disease transmission and overcomes the limitations in quantity and quality of available bone graft.
