Inion introduces a new innovation in bioabsorbable cranial surgery: The Inion® UltraPress™ Inserter

Although Inion’s history spans more than two decades, we continue to evolve and improve our solutions based on feedback from our distributors and healthcare professionals. Therefore, we are excited to share an update on our ongoing product development activities: we have been developing a cordless, rechargeable and easy-to-use ultrasonic inserter for bioabsorbable fixation, the Inion® UltraPress™ Inserter. The device was first introduced at the ACPA 2026 Annual Meeting in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

First introduction at ACPA 2026 Annual Meeting

The Inion® UltraPress™ Inserter was presented to the clinical community for the first time at the ACPA 2026 Annual Meeting in March 2026. The American Cleft Palate Craniofacial Association organizes this annual event for professionals in cleft and craniofacial education. Inion’s Sales Director, Michael Lindroos, and US Sales Manager, Kevin Vucinich, attended the event and engaged with clinicians, and were pleased to receive encouraging feedback on the device throughout the event. The inserter generated strong interest and curiosity among attendees, providing valuable opportunities for future discussion with surgeons and other healthcare professionals.

In addition to the event, Inion has been actively collecting feedback through simulated clinical use in both national and international settings. These activities have provided further insights and contributed positively to the ongoing development of the device.

Advancing solutions in bioabsorbable cranial surgery
