We are excited to share a new surgical technique animation demonstrating intramedullary screw fixation using the headless bioabsorbable Inion CompressOn™ Screw. The video provides a step-by-step overview of the procedure for treating an extra-articular fracture of the distal metacarpal.

The animation provides a structured overview of each operative step, from initial reduction to final fixation. Viewers are guided through:
- Reduction of the fragment with a K-wire
- Depth measurement using a depth gauge
- Creation of a threaded bone channel with the Inion CompressOn™ Drill Tap Instrument
- Irrigation of the screw channel
- Attachment and alignment of the screw on the screwdriver
- Full insertion of the headless bioabsorbable screw
- Removal of the K-wire
Once implanted, the Inion CompressOn™ Screw gradually resorbs in 2–4 years.
